• April 26, 2015: The 16U Houston Hoops Showcase team played up into the 17U division at the Kingwood tournament this weekend, and won one of the Platinum brackets! Although they lost both of their pool games (versus GCBC Elite Bullet & Prep Star Elite), they fought back in bracket play to defeat Reach Higher Kings (GA), Impact Basketball (CA), and Texas Impact Elite to win Platinum.

• March 30, 2015: The Houston Hoops 16U Showcase Team had a strong showing this past weekend going 5-0, and capturing the 16u Championship at the OFF DA HOOK classic held in Houston. The team was 2-0 in pool play with victories over the Houston Kings and Houston Mavs.  In bracket play the team was 3-0, with a quarter final win over the Shooting Stars-Red, a semi-final hard fought win over Team Mesmerize (84-71), and finals victory over The Rookies (71-62). Markus Vallien (Lamar) average 19.4 pts with a game high of 36 pts and Matthew Strange (St Pius) average 18.3 pts with a game high of 25 pts other outstanding players Langston Gresham great defense, Ethan Powell great court leadership Fred Watts and Daniel Green great rebounding and defense on the paint.

• March 23, 2015: The 16U Showcase team had a good start to the season going 2-1 overall at RCS Sports' Spring Ice Breaker. In pool play, the team defeated the Eastside Ballers (58-43), and the Urban Kings (76-71).  In the Platinum bracket play the team lost a close one to TNBA Love (77-74). Matthew Strange (St Puis) averaged 20 pts a game during the tournament. Markus Vallion (Lamar), Fred Watts (Channelview), and Daniel Green (Chavez) all averaged 10 pts per game. The team will be back in action this upcoming weekend in the Off Da Hook tournament here in Houston.
