• November 9, 2016: Congrats to Markus Vallien on signing his National Letter of Intent to play for St. Francis (PA) today!
• August 1, 2016: The Houston Hoops Elite participated in Bigfoot Hoops Las Vegas Classic (July 20-24) and the Las Call (July 25-27). At the Las Vegas Classic, they went 1-2 in pool play with losses to DRIVE Elite (41-67), De La Salle (36-53) and a win v Virginia Elite (69-53) to advance to the Silver Elite bracket. They defeated Cal Supreme Black, Houston Topguns, and EBA Pharaohs Black before losing to the Carolina Magic in the semis. At the Last Call tournament, they went 2-1 in pool play with wins over Hope Christian Huskies and Maryknoll Spartans, and a loss to Elite 24. In the gold bracket, they defeated Vision (Mack) before losing in the semis to the Shandong Province team from China.
• May 25, 2016: This past weekend the Houston Hoops Elite 17u won 1st Place in the Gold Bracket Division at the Adidas Elite 36 Tournament. All the players played outstandingly during the weekend.
• May 15, 2016: This weekend, the Houston Hoops Elite played Just Win Academy, Adidas's top 17U team for the Summer Prep Showcase championship. Although down by 18 points in the 1st half, the Hoops fought back to take the game into overtime and losing by only 2 points. Great shooting by Markus Vallien (27) Shannon Scott (20) Jackson Moffett (15) and Fredrick Watts (10). Great defense by Daniel Green, Ethan Powell, Stacey Thomas, Jordan Mays and all other support players.

• May 1, 2016: The Houston Hoops Elite 17U team took first place at the Beat the Heat tournament this weekend with a record of 5-0 wins. Outstanding guard play by Markus Vallien averaged 25pts a game during the weekend Matthew Strange average 20 pts a game with 25pts and Shannon Scott outstanding 3pts shooting with a average of 4 per game. Ethan Powell also had a great defensive weekend, with an average of 5 assists per game. Beating M&E Elite in the semifinals and KP Elite in the Championship. Great job by all the other support players!
• April 24, 2016: The Houston Hoops Elite went 2-0 in pool play at Bigfoot Hoops Kingwood Classic, with wins over the Ballin' Ambassaodrs (CA) and San Antonio Hurricanes, putting them into the platinum bracket, where they defeated the A Level Eagles in the first round, and lost to M&E Elite in the second round / Results
