  • May 30, 2016: The EYBL Session 4 weekend started out with torrential weather in Houston that caused numerous flight delays and eventually a flight cancellation. After their 20-hour travel ordeal, the Hoops managed a win (80-68) over ProSkills (box score) but lost that evening to Boo Williams 67-87 (box score). Day two they defeated Team Griffin 72-52 (box score), and lost in a closely matched game to the #1 team in their division Howard Pulley 64-57 (box score). They finished up the session today with a 77-71 win over WACG (box score). Note that stats may be a little bit off, as the uniforms were lost at the airport until Game 4. Thanks for the assist from the 15U team who lent us one set of uniforms in the meantime! The team finished the season with an overall 7-9 record and is hoping for an at large bid to the Peach Jam.

TOBI OYEDEJI

  • In May of 2010, the Houston Hoops family lost a friend and teammate - Tobi Oyedeji. Tobi played with the Houston Hoops during the 2008 and 2009 seasons, and was looking forward to starting his college playing career with Texas A&M in the Fall of 2010.  Tobi was a loyal teammate with a beautiful smile and a wonderful personality.  He was always a joy to be around.  He will be missed and his spirit will always remain in our hearts.  Click here for a Houston Hoops tribute to Tobi.
