News & Events

August 1, 2009: The 11U Houston Hoops won the Championship Game of the Classic Bracket at the AAU Nationals in Cocoa Beach, FL today. After going 1-2 in pool play with a losses to the CB Spiders (47-45), and Team Battle (NJ) (38-59), and a win against the Slam-N-Jam Hoyas from the DC-metro area (65-32), they advanced to the Classic Bracket. Note: Team Battle eventually placed 3rd in the Championship Bracket. The Houston Hoops captured the Classic Bracket Championship title by defeating the NC Gators (46-40), New Orleans Select (38-28), Indiana Jr. Hoopers (65-44), and finally Sports Academy of Louisiana (42-32).
May 3, 2009: The 11U Houston Hoops won the AAU Super Regional Tournament this weekend. The team delivered some impressive character victories over very determined opponents. This tournament victory qualifies Houston Hoops for the AAU National Tournament. The team has been awarded an "At-Large" bid. The team will play for AAU National seeding at the Gulf Qualifying Tournament.
